Valentines Day - How do you see it?

14th February every year, you know what that means - Valentines Day. Yes, it's either the day you have been waiting for or the day you've been dreading or even the day you just don't give a damn about. Going way back to the history of this controversial day, it all started with Saint Valentine in the 3rd century. there are two legends to this the first one is that Valentine was a priest when Emperor Claudius was in power. Emperor Claudius thought " if he's single he's stronger"  which basically meant he banned marriage for all his soldiers, Valentine however disagreed so he secretly got the soldiers married to whoever they liked (awww how sweet) Emperor Claudius, however, put him to death. (happiness over!.)
Saint Valentine - charming isn't he?
The second legend is that Valentine was imprisoned and fell in love with his jailers daughter. He wrote the first valentine to daughter of his jailer and signed it with " From your Valentine" and we still use that ending today! Okay and that was the end of the history lesson!
Now, for the whining girls, "I'm so lonely, why cant I get a valentine, I'M NOT LOVED!" for you girls out there here's a wittle bit of advice and yes I said wittle. CALM DOWN! quit whining, I know that getting a valentine is very flattering but to be honest, your alone on valentines day, just deal, its not a big one. (see what I did there) Just think it a normal day when in actual fact it is! its just a day when couples buy each other gifts and there are sales on, that is pretty much IT! You shouldn't feel like you need a boyfriend to be cool or a valentine for that matter.
this is how some people see valentines.
Now, valentines day might just be an excuse to buy your partner some flowers and a bit of chocolate but its also a day where business is good!  That's right, some see it as a waste of their money. NZD $5 for 1 rose -  how does that sound to you? You could buy a meal for $5!

who me?

In my opinion, Valentines Day is a day when people try to flatter each other  with roses, chocolates and cards and I'm alone on Valentines so I just deal and move on with life :) <3

happy valentines day everyone!

Snow Fairy - Lush

I got this shower gel while I was visiting Canada, it was love at first smell. It smells like  bubble-gum sweet candy however its not sickly sweet, it even looks pretty with glitter at the bottom! At the time, I purchased this, it was Christmas because, they only do this product at Christmas but they do sell similar smelling products like "The Godmother' soap. I got the 100 ml bottle which is the smallest and was reflectively cheap however if you try it and you fall in love with it. Getting  the 500 ml bottle is a bit pricey. After trying this product, I do want to explore more into the Lush world - can't wait! To the right is the Lush store I went to in Canada, Square One (BIGGEST SHOPPING MALL I'VE EVER BEEN TO!)

Change - good or bad?

Change. Is it good or is it bad? Well, I guess its both. For example ( a random example may I add) if you are a complete and utter douche-bag hmm maybe that was a bit far fetched Missy  okay, okay sorry. If you are a bad person and you have changed  your ways then of course change is good but, if you've changed for the worse then that particular change  is bad.    However we are talking abut change in general, people! Over the past 2 years, I have experienced so much change, in fact more than I ever expected.
I moved countries, moved schools then moved schools again and someone who was really close to me was thousands of miles away from me (Well, lets not get into the nitty gritty of it). Long story short, I was in a bad place. Being me, I wasn't dealing with the changes well, but when I got given this piece of advice, it made me think. The advice was "If you can't adapt to change, you  are going to have a hard time in life." *Me Thinking* " Damn It! She's right, life is full of changes, if I want to succeed, then I can't dwell on the bad I have to MOVE ON with life!"
(finally shes ending this damn blog post!)
In conclusion,  Be Positive, Life Is Too Short and Don't Dwell On The Past.  AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FO DAT!
